Lauren’s 1st Birthday Party!!

On Saturday, we had Lauren’s first birthday party with our family. Her birthday is not until Thursday but we picked the weekend before to celebrate. It was a lot of fun and she did great until the very end when she started getting tired. It was at 3:00 and we served snacks and cake & ice cream.

The theme was bright colors and butterflies. I found most of the party supplies at Dollar Tree which was awesome. I made a banner that showed the past 11 months and said “Watch Me Grow”. It was fun to see how she changed each month.  I ordered the cake from HyVee and they just matched the napkin. She also got her own free smash cake. She didn’t get too crazy with the cake but she did end up eating a lot of it and it was all over her hands and face. She loved the taste! She let us sing her happy birthday. We will see if that continues each year.

Her gifts were books, puzzles, clothes, sand/water table, dinosoar walk/ride toy, place setting gift set, money and a stuffed teddy.
