Race for the Cure

Saturday, October 27th was Race for the Cure. This year I decided to volunteer. I signed up to hand out flowers to the survivors at the finish line. I thought it would be a lot of fun. This year they ordered a variety of colors. I still thought the pink and red roses were the prettiest so I chose those to hand out. It was so great to see the faces of the survivors as they crossed the finish line. Not only did they complete the race but they can celebrate beating cancer. What two great accomplishments!! I did tear up a few times but a lot less than what I imagined myself doing.
