This year Easter was on my dad’s birthday. My parents and
two nieces spent Friday night in Waverly with Justin and Sarah and then came to
DM after that. We ended up doing the Easter egg hunt on Saturday afternoon. The
sun came out and it ended up being pretty nice out. Lauren didn’t know to
search for the eggs but once we got her attention on them she would pick them
up and put them in her bucket. The Easter bunny left a cup of cookies on the
chair outside for Lauren. That evening we grilled out at our house. We also
made Papa a birthday cake. It was a brownie ice cream cake. It turned out
great! On Sunday we had a nice meal at Janelle and Carl’s house. Cade and
Lauren love playing together so I think they enjoyed seeing each other two days
in a row.
