This was Lauren's first 4th of July. We were invited to watch the parade at Emily & Bryan's. We usually watch it at their house if we are in town. Lauren got to meet a few new friends! Luckily there was a little breeze so it wasn't terribly miserable sitting outside. Lauren didn't act scared at all. She pretty much just sat there and chewed on her stroller strap. She even got squirted with water a few times and she didn't care. We hung out inside for a while after the parade before it was time to go home and take a nap. Lauren took her usual almost 3 hr nap but later that night we found out that wasn't enough. We stopped by Janelle and Carl's house. They are busy bees packing and cleaning their house since they have to be out by July 13th. My parents were down helping them. Lauren got to see Gee & Papa and play with Cade. Cade just loves Lauren. He likes to hug and kiss her. After that we stopped by the Bengard's house since they just brought baby Macey home. She is so cute!! This is when we found out that Lauren was still exhausted from the heat and parade. We didn't get to visit for too long because Lauren needed to get to bed. She was calm on the ride home and didn't fall asleep which surprised us. Marty decided to go through the carwash to clean the gravel dust off my car from our visit to the Bossard acreage and Lauren was so scared. I could see her watching the machine go around and she would just scream and cry. She has never been scared of the car wash before so I am not sure if it was because she was so tired and cranky or if she really was scared. We didn't get to see Norwalk's fireworks. We figured Lauren wouldn't make it to them. But our neighbor decided it would be a good idea to shoot some off in our backyard so we got to see those. They were right outside Lauren's window so I was going to be really mad if they woke her up but she stayed sleeping!!
